Frank was awarded an Fda Distinction and a BA First Class Honors Degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery. Influence for his designs came from the sculptural work of Barbara Hepworth and the minimalist installations of Donald Judd. Franks design ethos promotes balance and simplicity which follows through to all pieces being crafted using traditional hand tools.

 

He continues developing a minimalist style of contemporary geometric rings in sterling silver and tension rings in sterling silver and gold using moissanite for its firey brilliance and ethical principal.

 

What is Moissanite? Moissanite is a naturally occurring rare mineral silicon carbide which is synthesised in the laboratories. Requiring no mining to produce it has a negliable carbon footprint and is entirely eco friendly. This gem has a hardness of 9.25 on the Moh's scale second only to a diamonds hardness of 10.

His geometric ring designs are constructed using the same detailed process as making boxes, which are hollow forged, scored, filed and folded by hand. These rings are worn as bold statement pieces.
